Miko Shiatsu Foot Massager Review

Mama Needs a Foot Massage

This Miko Shiatsu Foot Massager Review is going to tell you why all the moms in your life need this massager in their life.

I know everyone reading this review has a mom or is a mom. How did I know that? Because I’m a mom and moms know everything. Don’t you forget that either.

I am also lucky enough to have a husband that knows how hard this mama works every day. Enter one of the best presents he has ever given me, a Miko Yoisho foot massager. Technically, our four children are the best gifts he’s ever given me, but the foot massager is actually a close number five.

Miko Shiatsu Foot Massager – The Review

We do a great job dealing with the COVID craziness. We both work from home, without a designated home office. All of our kids are home for an unknown amount of time and that makes our modest size house feel like a shoe-box. Our kids include an adolescent with major attitude, a dare devil daughter, a potty training princess, and a newborn. I find myself on my feet constantly, trying to rake the ants and herd the cats that are our children.

After bearing our fourth child, I guess my husband thought he owed me. Let’s just say we’re not even, but the Miko Yoisho Foot Massager is a nice start. But why Miko? Well, reflexology shows that your feet are the gateway to your soul. Maybe that’s a little dramatic, but check out the chart above and you’ll see that just about every vital organ and muscle group is intertwined with your feet. That means a good foot massage is a whole body wellness experience.

You might be asking, “Isn’t that what husbands are for?” Well, maybe. Personally though, I hate feet! I don’t touch feet and I don’t like having my feet touched. I don’t even let my kids put their feet near our pillows! So, the Miko massager was more thoughtful than it was a cop-out by my husband – who would rub my feet if I asked him.

Miko Massager Inital Thoughts

What’s not to like? The Miko Massager is sleek and stylish. It looks good in almost any room and even if it looks out of place; it’s lightweight, portable, and can stow under any coffee or side table. Unlike the traditional massage chairs a lot of our Korean friends have in their home, the Miko Massager is easy to move from room to room or stash out of sight. Our decor is a bit of a hodgepodge. If I had to label it, I’d say Asian Modern Farmhouse Fischer Price. The Miko Foot Massager looks at-home next to our kids’ piles of Lego Bricks, our weathered oak desk, and our Antique Korean Chest.

Anyway, back to my favorite child… I mean the foot massager. The Miko Shiatsu Foot Massager has been a daily lifesaver. My husband and I take turns sitting in our quiet/clean living room, sipping espresso, with a nice leather-bound book, and our feet in the Miko. Who am I kidding? We put it on the floor by the couch in the family room or under the dining room table, which has become our home office/classroom. All the while, our kids are running around causing a ruckus, but the Miko is a 14 minute reprieve from the chaos.

Miko Yoisho First Use

As mentioned above, I am not a fan of feet, despite using and needing them daily. That’s why my initial use of the Yoisho was a “weird” feeling. I was uncomfortable and standoffish with the massager – I know that’s weird too. Once I loosened up a bit and saw how much my husband enjoyed it, I was able to “let go” and enjoy the massage too. The Yoisho has numerous setting to customize your massage for the best possible experience. Personally, I like the kneading, with heat, and the pressure set on 3 – anything higher than 3 is just too intense. My husband uses the heat too but with no kneading and the pressure on 5.

Studies show a foot massage can alleviate stress and give you a little boost of energy. So, we use this Yoisho like a shot of espresso, along with plenty of espresso shots too. The Miko can helps me disconnect from the mess that is being created all around me.

[Insert sound of Legos spilling all over the floor.]

I know I am going to have to pick up all those later and inevitably my husband or I am going to step on one. If you have ever had the joy of stepping on a LEGO, you know what I’m talking about. Sore feet from chasing kids and Lego wounds are exactly why you need to have the Yoisho foot massager. Whether it’s to ease the pain from stepping on a Lego or simply to give yourself a 14 minute excuse to sit down, Miko has your back – well, feet in this instance. Miko does offer other massagers on their site too.

I think the Miko is magic, it transforms “angry NO! mom” into, “Ask me now and I might say yes mom”.

Can I have a cookie? Sure.

Can I play on the Switch? Yes. Quietly!

Can I borrow the car? Ye… No, but maybe after 14 more minutes in the Miko. Unlucky for you, you have 3 younger siblings that will never let me sit here for that much longer.

Relaxation = Sleep. Right?

Have you heard the saying sleep like a baby? Well, my husband massages nightly so he feels so relaxed and falls asleep quicker. I, on the other hand, am one of our children’s only food source, so I am up half the night. Thankfully the Miko is so lightweight and I can easily move it upstairs to the nursery with my one free hand. I get to have a quiet foot massage a couple times a night. It really does work to relax your body. Now I think the saying needs to be changed from sleep like a baby to, to sleep like my husband.

Miko claims to help you relax and boost productivity. I am not sure how much more productive I can be, but it certainly does take the edge off if I am having a stressful day. Now if it could just cook a healthy dinner that my children will eat – just kidding I know that meal doesn’t exist. The only thing that could make the Miko better is a Miko foot massager coupon! Being that I have a teenage boy trying to eat us out of house and home, I know the joy of getting a good deal.

Well, lucky for you Revoupon has an exclusive Miko Foot Massager Coupon. Get your mom, wife, or yourself the unicorn of house appliances. The Yoisho foot massager might not be real magic, but it’s definitely the next best thing. And it can easily be squeezed into any busy lifestyle.

Clearly the Miko is not just for moms, my husband uses it too. However getting it for mom is an extremely thoughtful gift. Plus mom will probably share it with you, because moms are nice too despite what their teenager sons and daughters say.
